Continued development of the Oxford OMOP Data Mapper, completing a cloud migration of data processing infrastructure to Azure with DevOps pipelines and new monitoring functionality. Added support for various healthcare data sources and built novel continuous integration pipelines for early warning detection of faulty mapping logic.

Engaged with the wider OMOP community through pull requests and conference presentations. The tool is becoming the de facto standard for converting NHS Trust Secondary Uses Service data to the OMOP standard.

Managed a small development team including business development, customer management, code reviews, mentoring, and project reporting.

Designed and implemented the complete OMOP function for London's primary care medical data covering 17 million patients. Efficiently transformed raw data into the OMOP clinical research database standard using Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL, and Data Lake.

Guided the organisation through the EHDEN accreditation process, achieving accredited data partner status.

Created a novel containerised database unit testing framework for Azure Synapse distributed databases.

Authored the open source Oxford OMOP Data Mapper tool for transforming healthcare datasets to the OMOP research database standard. Emphasised documentation and traceability, transforming millions of healthcare records.

Retrofitted a configurable multi-step content system for managing processes and maintenance in the aerospace industry.

Led the migration of legacy projects to AWS with emphasis on documentation, testing, and governance. Migrated from .NET Framework to .NET Core, packaged products in Docker containers, and implemented blue/green Jenkins continuous delivery pipeline with infrastructure as code using Terraform.

Developed specialist performant queries on very large datasets for a major national system. Independently produced prototypes combining datasets to reveal previously unseen trends. Maintained existing reports and data pipeline.

Led a team of five developers to modernise nationally important applications for the 999 patient triage system. Completed a full rewrite and data migration of the 999/111 call handler certification system with Agile delivery and user engagement, complying with latest accessibility and security standards.

Greenfield project to design and build a stowing assistant system deployed to 5 large sites across 3 continents, processing approximately 50,000 packages daily. Also created a manufacturing management system for component tracking overseas.

Built custom genome collection systems for clinical use.

Greenfield project to design and build an organ donation preference service, including governance for access to NHS patient lookup services with Smart Card integration.

Migrated, modernised, and extended existing clinical data collection application. Also provided on-call support for critical legacy patient management system at Luton and Dunstable Hospital.

Worked across multiple areas of the flagship GP product including: secondary care prescribing module, secondary care bed management system, complete rewrite of clinical coding module (used to detect drug interactions on most UK prescriptions), and childhood immunisation system.
